Army recruit. Ruggieri stands at a strong, broad shouldered 6-foot-6 245-pounds. Fastball sat 85-86 touching 87-88. Flashed a sharp, sweeping SL at 76-78 for strikes and was used as a strikeout pitch. Also flashed an 83 MPH straight changeup. Up tempo delivery into a tall, athletic balance point. Uphill shoulders coming down the mound, lands closed and throws across body a touch which makes him very difficult to pick up for hitters.

Army recruit. Strong and broad-shouldered build at 6-foot-6, 245-pounds. Starts tall on the mound with his feet close together. Works with rhythm and repeatable tempo. Long, loose arm action. High 3/4 arm slot. Keeps his front side in line with his shoulders. Rides his backside down the mound. Even shoulder tilt. Fastball sat 84-86 MPH and touched 87 MPH. FB showed late life and downhill angle. Curveball had 11/5 shape at 74-75 MPH. Changeup displayed both run and fade at 78-82 MPH.

Ruggieri has a strong, broad shouldered build at 6-foot-6 240-pounds. Fastball topped at 85 MPH and sat 82-85 with late life. Showcased a curveball with 11/5 bite at 71-74 MPH and a harder changeup at 76-79. Ruggieri's build projects him well at the next level – can all ready spin a two-plane breaking ball for strikes. Tall-fall type pitcher, able to keep his weight back over the rubber to add force into back side. Strong lower half drives him down the mound, with a firm, closed landing leg and foot. Creates some extension over front side on release. Top prospect to follow in the 2020 class.

Ruggieri has a tall, strong, athletic frame for his age. Fastball topped at 83 mph, sat 82-83. Breaking ball came in at 73-75 with 11/5 shape and showed a changeup at 72-74. High-3/4 arm slot - long, quick arm action. Landing is closed, collapses into front landing leg. Tall balance point, sinks into backside to go down the mound. Level shoulders going down the mound creates some leverage. High follow prospect.
