4/1/16 vs. Paul VI - Nick has a slow effortless delivery and works more at an over-the-top arm angle, which helps him produce a sharp true 12-6 curveball at 72-74. He sat at 83-85 and touched 86 at times. Snyder has a short, compact delivery and mechanics.
7-9-2018: 6’7/220 pounds. Tall, wide frame with balanced length between upper/lower half. Creates good leverage. Short stride length for his height. Maintains consistent bend in his arm action. Ball gets on hitter quickly from a three-quarters release point. Lands across his body which closes off his hips and makes him work hard to get the ball down in the zone. Has a considerable amount of effort in his finish. Head jerk at the end is aggressive and takes his eyes completely off the target. FB ranged between 88-91 mph. Flashed occasional cut, likely a result from the cross action in his delivery. CB is a quality secondary pitch in the 72-76 mph range. 2/7 break with plenty of shape and it maintains good bite, doesn’t get too loopy. Didn’t show any of the command issues that have been there in the past; struck out four batters in one inning of work. (Dan Jurik)
