2019 Preseason All State showcase

Moten possesses a strong and athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 190-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.82 seconds, one of the tops of the event. Recorded an exit velo of 94 MPH. Offensively, starts slightly open with his feet narrow and front foot inverted. Creates pre-pitch rhythm. Small leg kick. Brings his elbow to parallel with the ground during his load. Easy gap-to-gap power, ball flies off the bat. Some natural lift on his swing. Took defensive reps in the outfield, recording a top velo of 84 MPH on his throws. Under control approach to the ball. Creates momentum through the ball towards his target. Made strong throws with a long, loose arm action.

2018 Future Games
Moten has a broad, shouldered athletic build at 6-foot-1 190-pounds. He ran the 60 yard dash in 6.52-seconds, which was one of the top recorded times of the whole event. Recorded an exit velocity of 89 MPH. At the plate, Moten starts in a tall, narrow and opened stance with hands in line with back shoulder and bat rested on his shoulder as well. As the pitch comes in, Moten uses a leg kick to gather himself on his back side and his hands load down and back with fluidity. Shows a clean, controlled bat path through the zone and finishes with some lift. Stays balanced throughout his finish. Line drive hitter. Took loud batting practices throughout the weekend, and stood out as a top overall performer on the skills day at the event. His raw athleticism and strength in the batter's box contribute to him being a top uncommitted player in the state and country. Defensively, throws topped at 81 MPH from the outfield. Short arm action with some back spin, throws were on target to home plate consistently. Moten will be a key addition to anyone's recruiting class with his elite speed and knack for finding the barrel.
