PBR Mid-Atlantic ProCase (October 28th, 2018)
5-foot-9, 165-pound James Madison commit. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a short leg-hang stride. Displayed a solid lower half while consistently staying inside the baseball. Showed some present power to the pull side with an ability to create some backspin. Registered an 84 mph bat exit velocity while swinging wood. Plays through the baseball routinely defensively. Flashed a quick arm stroke with 90 mph arm strength across the diamond and ran a 7.08 60-yard dash.
Futures Preview South (June 4th, 2017)
Szestowicki has an athletic build at 5-foot-9 165-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.15-seconds, recorded an exit velocity of 88 MPH. One of the top overall performers from the event. At the plate, starts in a wide stance and in a crouch with hands in-line with back shoulder. As pitch comes in, uses a small leg lift and stride to start swing, hands load up and back. Short, and smooth path to the baseball. Impressive feel for the barrel for age and size. Defensively- separated himself from the rest of the infielders with his performance both in the skills portion of the event and during the game. Athletic and bouncy in the field; comfortable ranging to backhand and up the middle with speed and agility. Hands are lightning quick in exchange and transfer. Throws topped at 87 MPH across the diamond. Arm works to be a SS at the next level. Able to throw from multiple arm slots. Started a tough double play ranging to his arm side and threw a strike to 2B to get the first out.
