Uncommitted 2023 1B/3B Mitch Noseworthy may have had the loudest swing on the day when he drove a fastball over the right field corner fence. Strong, lumber frame at 6-foot-1, 202-pounds and there’s power from the left side that he’s shown both in batting practice and in-game. The bat will be the carrying tool for the corner infielder from Newfoundland and he showed today what he’s capable of.

2023 corner infielder Mitchell Noseworthy was an Atlantic representative our staff was looking forward to seeing this week and he didn’t disappoint on Day One. It’s the left-handed bat that jumps out and the body looks better since we saw him in the fall. He was consistently hitting balls to the big part of the park and made some noise during his round of BP. He proved there’s some juice and feel for the barrel today so it will be interesting to see if that translates into game play this week.
