10/21/18 - Lean 5-11, 150, Ferguson has an athletic build with wiry strength and room to add. In the outfield, his footwork and glove skills are serviceable and his arm strength and throwing motion lend to left field. His lo ¾ arm slot does not enhance velocity or carry for the ball shoots up out of his hand. Ferguson is a switch hitter, appearing more natural from the left side. Left-handed, he sets up tall, tipping the barrel rapidly until he loads to a hand position at rear shoulder height. He maintains balance throughout his swing with a slight uphill path. Right-handed, Ferguson has a similar look, erect, busy barrel but the hands load to a higher position. He strides closed and exhibits limited extension as he looks to pull, cutting off his swing and fighting for balance.
