Physical: 5-foot-11, 145 pounds; Lean, athletic build. 7.93 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Drops hands on the way back with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a high finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 77 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 70 MPH.
Pitching: Knuutila uses an arm side setup working primarily from the stretch. Minimal leg lift with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly closed. Long arm swing while effortless with fluidity, while working through a high 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 73 MPH, while sitting 70-72 MPH; straight action. CB: 58-61 MPH; spots and expands. OTHER: CT: 67-69 MPH; CT: late lateral action.
