Physical: Advanced physicality in a projectable 6-foot-1, 176-pound frame with strength throughout his game. 7.80 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with the barrel idle just above shoulder in the setup. Utilized a controlled lift and replace stride to initiate the hands through a flat barrel path and into the hitting zone. Not a whole lot extra going on the swing allowing the bat head to work efficiently through the baseball and got to impact in plenty of time with a short time to contact. Recorded a 23.30 mph max hand speed in the box according to Blast Motion showing just how hard it is to get the FB by him at the plate. Likes to get the long levers inside the ball and let the arms play powerfully out through during extension, mostly pull-side approach during batting practice with the ability to go backside if pitched there. Mature approach and registered a peak bat-exit velocity of 90 mph according to Trackman Baseball / 342 foot maximum batted ball distance was more than impressive. Defensively: The primary backstop featured solid receiving abilities with a soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.13-2.20 out of a low setup using short and quick straight line footwork which gained ground towards the target. Adequate transfers from glove hand to throwing ear and held posture in the positioning well on throws creating accuracy on the bag. Released from an accurate, short high ¾ slot and moved well on either side of the plate while blocking with recovery ability. C - 78 mph
