April 2018

Physical frame, the glove is solid and he shows the ability to make the throws from the left side of the infield. The bat is strong, flat path, under control bottom half. Stays in his swing and has power potential. Slightly above average runner. Complete all-around player.

May 2017

Athletic, plenty of arm, probably more of a third baseman at the next level but made all the plays. Moves well around the infield and has a good idea of how to get off the ball. Right handed hitter; he bat has strength to it, it's simple and on time. Solid prospect, good frame, 6-foot-2, 190-pounds.

Eastern NY All-Star Game (September 13, 2015)
Stands at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, with an athletic body build.  Defensively - He has a smooth approach through the ball, with smooth, soft, quick hands, throws with a low to high 3/4 arm action, plays through the ball nicely, ball has lots of life throwing across the diamond, with some of range, and has accuracy on the target.  Pitching - On the mound, he uses a simple side step, balanced delivery, arm action is fairly clean and loose, throws with an over the top arm slot. He exhibits good command with a fastball max at 78 MPH.   Offensively - At the plate his setup is relaxed and balanced stance, short leg lift stride, with a back load.  His hands are very compact and strong, swinging on an upward tilt plane, good full extension through the ball, with a nice high finish.  With his exit velo, he is a player with a lot of potential for big power.

Capital Region Open (July 29,2015)
Ben stands an athletic and strong 6-foot-3, 195-pounds.  He's an intimidating young ball player, who shows some next level skills at a young age.  At the plate from the right side, he starts in an even, balanced stance with his feet shoulder width apart.  His approach is simple as he uses a small stride for timing on the pitch.  Could gain even more bat speed with a slight counter-rotation.  Bat path is down and level through the zone, excellent extension and high finish over his shoulder.  Showed excellent batspeed and power, evidenced by an 87mph exit velocity.  In the field he moves well from side to side, but his approach is very linear, and takes ground balls head on.  Would like to see him learn to circle the baseball.  Shows a clean funnel to a high 3/4 arm slot at 78mph across the diamond.  Follows his throws.  Accurate Arm.  As of right now his size may make him a corner infielder at the next level, but he has a lot of time to improve form and athleticism.  Very impressive strong young player.
