Pitching: Works from the stretch starting wide with weight pre loaded in back leg; Drives the knee up, down and out in line, gets ome shoulder tilt with glove reaching across before pulling through with intent over a strong post leg; long, fluid arm action through a high 3/4 slot. FB: Has advanced life (Bauer Unit 27) and ride (23" IVB) through the zone. SL: Tight, lateral break with up to 4.6" of horizontal movement. CH: Good hand speed working downhill with up to 7.5" of fade.
2/19/21
Physical: 6’2 205 3B ran a 7.79 laser timed 60-yard dash. Solid frame has natural strength with room to add more speed and quickness to his game.
Offensively: He starts with his feet just beyond shoulder width, with his front foot up on his toe and slightly turned inward. His hands are loaded back by his rear shoulder and deliver the barrel on a flat path in a pulling action into the hitting zone. His barrel works upward through contact and follows through with a stiff back arm.
Defensively: he uses hoppy steps to move his body into a proper fielding position. He has a slight delay in his momentum as he receives the ball and funnels into the center of his body. His arm works in a catapult type action as he gets over top of the ball and makes his throw to his target.
