Caden Bernardo: 3B/1B, (2023) Bethlehem, NY. 6-foot-4, 210-pound projectable athletic build. Projectable and athletic during batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 96 mph. (73.2 mph bat speed average). (22.3 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced wide stance with a controlled load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed was developing, displays a loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Projectable athletic in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 85 mph; had athletic consistent footwork, a clean natural exchange, and developing soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.99. (Max spin ; Avg ).
