Caden Sharkey: RHP/2B, (2026) Grand Island, NY. 165-pound lean athletic frame. Capable in the box, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 79 mph. (56.9 mph bat speed average). (18.9 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced wide stance with a controlled load, then uses a small stride. Had developing bat speed, flat long swing plane and good extension on his finish. Through the round he found some barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Projectable while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 80 mph; had developing consistent footwork, developing hands, and a natural clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing athletically. Showed a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. Capable on the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent arm action with developing arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 77-78 mph; had running sinking action and control arm side around the zone. (Max spin 2085; Avg 1893). Shows glove side around the zone control and slurvey action on his curveball (68-69). (Max spin 2192; Avg 2035). His changeup (73-74) has arm side command and gradual fading action. 

Physical: 5-foot-10, 150 pounds; Proportional, slight build. 8.13 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; flat bat to start. Drops hands on the way back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a moderate swing path with a two handed finish.  More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 80 MPH via Trackman

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot.  INF - 70 MPH. 

Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using an angled drop step. Belt high leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 72 MPH, while sitting 71 - 72 MPH; arm side run.  SL: 61 - 62 MPH; tilting break. CH: 65 - 66 MPH; maintains same plain. OTHER: SPL 62 - 64 MPH; SPLT: late drop.
