Kolb sits in at 5-foot-10; 210 pounds with a corner infielder build and strong frame. A lot of room to grow into his body as he gets older. With addition of lower body and core strength could potentially be a corner threat and middle of the order hitter. Offensively-Square with the pitcher with 50/50 weight distribution. Slight knee bend with hands high behind his head. On pitch his trigger is a quiet to tap forward gaining no ground and his hands moving back slightly getting in to a good hitting position. Quick hands to the hitting zone and has a good swing plane though to his two handed high finish. Has good lower body rotation during swing. Has a lot of room to grow when he becomes stronger. Displayed an exit velocity of 78 mph. Defensively-Good approach and footwork getting to baseball. Good mechanics funneling ball into body with a good arm swing to get into throwing position. Tendency to lean back and throw up hill when throwing. Will get better with more reps and added arm strength. Position player velocity of 61 mph.
