Long and loose on the mound in the 6-foot-3 185 pound range working from a high 3/4 slot. Live arm with some projection. Stride is direct and gets over a firm front side. FB had some heaviness to it early on and was also able to expand and get late swings when ahead. Will need to show more overall command with FB to help setup his off-speed. When on, CB showed some hard late action will be a go to pitch for him.

Athletic frame with time for body to mature. Works from a 3/4 arm slot. Pitched first two innings, sailing through the first inning and got in trouble in the 2nd. FB range was 78-80 (topped out at 80 MPH), CB range was 69-71 with flat, spinning action. Struggled a bit with command; could use lower half more effectively. Batted leadoff-stayed in game in OF after being taken out from the mound. Good overall athlete. Charles has potential (just a Sophomore) and with some growth and improved mechanics (using lower half to generate more velocity) will be worth a follow.
