Physical: Strong, compact 5-foot-8, 163-pound frame with feel present in the actions. 7.56 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Started from a tall, open stance with the barrel showing rhythm above the shoulder; utilized a toe tap stride landing at a wide position in order to sink into the legs and deliver the bat head through a slight uphill path into the hitting zone. Short entry and moderate extension after impact while hitting into a semi-stiff front side; recorded a 91 mph bat-exit velocity through a mostly pull side approach during batting practice. Notched a 27% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball with a top batted ball distance of 338 feet. Current doubles power with room for more as he continues refinement.
Defensively: The primary outfielder showcased good instincts in space, putting his foot in the ground and attacking early in ball flight, accurate glove hand off the left side, good posture at the fielding window, corralled and let it go from a quick, high ¾ slot (74 mph). Most likely will slot in at a LF position at the moment.
At the plate, the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance feet shoulder width apart. Simple load actions. Takes a short stride towards the pitcher before attacking the hitting zone. Displayed a flat bat path through the hitting zone. Made hard consistent contact to the middle part of the field. Defensively, the outfielder displayed an aggressive approach to the baseball. Fields the baseball slightly off center. Takes his time to gather himself when making throws to the base. The 2022 graduate has solid actions and will be a player to follow.
