Not as sharp as we've seen him in the past but still can see the projection sitting 84-85 with a few late breaking slurves at 71-74 MPH. Silkly actions on the infield with some length present in the swing.

Candelario stands a lean 6-foot-1 with a wiry 160-pound athletic frame. Offensively- Sets up open with feet shoulder width apart; Bat angle is flat with a slight lift and tip towards the mound. Aggressive knee to belt leg kick helping him stay closed. Stride gets him back to even with aggressive lower half; fluid bat path through the zone with an elevated one-hand finish. Line drives with lift; ball played true off of the wood. Defensively- Left side defender with above average arm across the diamond (87 MPH). Fields with deep bend at the waist, occasionally letting hands get underneath. Calm with footwork, no panic into a clean transfer and release. Pitching- Simple over-the-head delivery, arm-action is back and long with extremely quick hand-speed out in front during release. Fastball sat 86-87 mph during his outing with some hard, late sinking action that chewed up the right hand-hitters from a mid-3/4 power slot. Curveball shows some late depth at 72-75 mph. High ceiling on the mound.

Slightly built RHP at 6-foot-0, 150 pounds with a live and loose arm with little restrictions. Frame projects well with long legs and arms. Ran his fastball up to 86 MPH, sitting 84-85 with arm side run. Breaking ball presented itself with early action but still effective at 73 MPH. Showed some pop at the plate. Absolute must follow.
