A switch-hitter, he looks more natural from the right side, evidenced by his double to centerfield at Vanderbilt. Hewitt has a relaxed plate approach with a balanced, slightly open setup. He showed easy bat speed and runs well. Defensively, he has a strong arm and moves well laterally.
