Physical: 5-foot-10, 195 pounds; muscular, athletic build. 7.15 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Feet start just outside of shoulder width along with an upright, rigid torso and high hands above the ear; works the hands down in the load and strides forward into the ball with some aggression in the swing. Hard turn from the back hip drives everything in his swing to become high intent and loose, quality lower half movements with a max effort, uphill swing with shoulders that match the bat plane nicely. Definite power bat for the middle of the order. Crushed the ball all over the outfield with no issues, impressive round of BP; peak Trackman exit velocity of 96 MPH. Defensively: Stays low to the ground with a lot of bend at the belt and the knees; moves exceptionally well to the ball, beats it to the spot and uses good footwork to get on the right side of the ball. Soft hands that funnel directly to the belt and transfer easily; high effort arm across the infield displaying some quality velo through a short 3/4 slot. INF - 86 MPH. Pitching: Deliberate movements in his delivery, works quickly up to a leg lift and drives from there. Short arm swing out of the glove, hides the ball well using his body and throws with good arm speed through a higher 3/4 slot. FB: Peak velo of 87 MPH, while sitting 84-86 MPH. Flashed a quality FB with average spin, gave a good look at the heater in the bottom of the zone while still being able to throw it in the upper half of the zone. CB: 69-70 MPH. Dropped a sharp little CB in the zone with ease, tunnels it well off his FB. CH: 76-79 MPH. Flashed a CH that he was able to kill the spin on giving it more depth as it approaches the hitter, could develop into a quality pitch the more he continues to trust it.
