Campus Series - St. Rose (July 10, 2018)
5-foot-11, 190-pounds. Strong and athletic frame. Offensively - Hits from a wide, balanced set-up with slight knee bend. Bat wiggle to keep hands in rhythm. Low and short forward stride getting into swing. No wasted movement. Generates rotational power with strong core and lower half. Hands work to the ball quickly. Line-drive type of swing. Exit Velocity was 90 MPH. Defensively - Smooth, powerful actions in the OF. Quick strides with good tempo getting to the ball. Smooth arm action with an over the top release. Throws have consistent carry to the target. Comes thru the ball aggressively. Arm strength was 85 MPH. Athletic and strong OF’er with impressive measurables.
 
Campus Series-Marist (July 25, 2017) 
Meland checks in at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds with a strong, thick, athletic frame. Offensively- Righty shows a fluid swing with quick hands to the hitting zone. Utilizes whole-body frame with good lower body rotation and a level barrel path. Demonstrated good plate coverage with the ability to drive the ball to all fields. Clean swing with a lot of potential with more development. Recorded an exit velocity of 81 MPH. Defensively- Shows a good approach and footwork getting underneath the baseball. Good transition from the catch to the throwing position with aggressive footwork towards target. Has an appropriate outfielder arm swing with a strong arm recording a positional arm velocity of 87 MPH. Overall a talented 2019 prospect that will benefit with added development and strength. Prospect coaches should keep an eye on.

High end athlete at 5-foot-11 180 pounds hitting leadoff and playing CF; Hit ands throws from the right side; above average arm with accuracy and carry during pre-game. Solid contact on some groundouts, puts the pressure on the defense. Player to follow.
