A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.

Physical: Advanced physicality in a well proportioned 6-foot-2, 218-pound frame with a feel for his body. Additional velocity should be expected in the near future.
Pitching: RHP - Slow tempo in the delivery with a pause before leg lift and a stack that sees the front left leg leaning slightly forward while getting away from the body. The lower half is physical and creates quality straight line drive while a high slot plays downhill with quickness into the zone at 78-81 mph on the fastball. Mixed in an adequate 69-71 mph breaker with 11/5 shape and a max of 2005 spin per Trackman Baseball. Pounded the zone with the fastball early in counts and went breaking ball heavy when ahead for the strikeout pitch.
2/23/19
A physical 6-foot-4, 206 pounds. Ran a 7.52 60 yard dash and ran a 4.63 home to first. Offensively- Tall stance. Feet shoulder width apart. Loose hands just above the belt. Short stride towards the pitcher. Direct path to the baseball. Keeps the bat head flat throughout the hitting zone. Gets full extension after the point of contact. Good use of lower half. Top exit velocity 90 MPH. Projects to hit for power at the college level. Defensively- Displayed active footwork. Has an aggressive approach to the baseball. Displayed soft hands and above average funnel action. Has an above average release from a arm slot. Top throwing velocity 79 MPH. Pitching- Displayed a fast arm. Showed command of a FB peaked at 78 MPH. Shows a sharp breaking ball at 69-71 MPH. Showed feel for a CH 70-72 MPH. The 2021 graduate is a must follow.
