Sosa is a big, strong player standing at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds. He ran a 7.51 – 60 and a 4.60 home-to-1B. Offensively- The RHH sets up with a slightly open stance and his feet slightly outside the shoulders. He hands start center body before working back in a low position. The power is generated through quick hands, with explosive hip rotation while yet maintaining a short swing path. His long arms allow for plate coverage and above average extension. His exit velocity is 81 MPH with results that play above that. Defensively- He uses his big frame to square up in front of the ball. Quick feet allows him to get in throwing position; soft hands create an efficient transfer and a quick release of the ball. The infield velocity is 71 MPH. Increased momentum through his follow through will help with carry on his throws.
