Simmonds stands in at 6-foot-0, 170-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 6.99 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding the bat in front of the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quick stride forward while his hands move back slightly into his hitting position. Utilizes good lower body rotation clearing the hips using his whole-body frame in the pitch. Shows quick hands into the hitting zone with upward lift barrel action throughout into a high one-handed finish. Demonstrated potential gap to gap power during batting practice round with clean fluid swings. Recorded an exit velocity of 88 MPH, tying his previous best mark from July 2017. Defensively- Good approach and footwork to the baseball. Catches clean with a smooth transfer into the throwing position. Crow hop mechanics are sound gaining ground throughout the movement using an appropriate outfielder arm swing. Moved well left/right and was accurate on throws. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 87 MPH, tying his best mark first set in September 2016. Overall a talented 2018 grad that is still available. 

Simmonds checks in at 5-foot-11, 165-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Offensively- Righty shows an impressive swing with upward lift barrel action demonstrating potential gap to gap power. Utilizes the whole-body during the swing with a good trigger and full rotation on the lower half clearing the hips. Showed good plate coverage with solid contact. Overall a fluid swing with intent to hit the baseball. Recorded an exit velocity of 88 MPH, tying his previous best mark set in June 2016. Defensively- Good approach and footwork to get underneath the baseball. Shows a smooth transition from the glove to the throwing position with an appropriate outfielder arm swing. Gains good ground throughout the process of the throw with a downhill throwing motion. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 86 MPH, 1 MPH shy of his previous best mark of 87 MPH set in September 2016.

Body is upright with a slight knee bend. Hands are high above the shoulder with pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch his trigger is a knee raise into a stride forward with his hands moving back slightly into a good hitting position. Hands are quick into the hitting zone with good bat path throughout into a mid-body one handed finish. Good lower body rotation using whole frame to get into swing. Fluid and smooth swing; creates backspin and lift towards the pull side gap. Recorded an exit velocity of 86 MPH . Defensively- Gets behind and under the ball well. Has a short arm swing from OF, will improve strength and accuracy with a longer arm swing. Fields the ball well on the run. Displayed a positional velocity of 87 MPH.

Right-handed hitting outfielder at 5-foot-11 165 pounds; shows a tremendous amount of potential in his game. Defensively- The outfield arm is legit, throwing 86 mph from right field with ease; uses short catcher like arm action; potentially more in the tank here; plus arm speed. Offensively- Ran a 4.31 on a dig to first. The bat has strength to it, the hands are strong. The setup is wide and the barrel path is flat and through the ball. He showed the ability to handle the bat and spread the ball during batting practice. Exit velocity peaked at 88 MPH. Impressive looking player.
