60:
7.25
OF Velo: 75 MPH

Winter Open (February 26, 2017)
Sightly built LHH outfielder who ran a 7.32 60 (previous best: 7.30) and a 4.28 home-to-1B. Offensively- Slightly open stance; barrel starts pointing towards the ground with some upwards lift during his load. Gains ground on his stride, closing off some and creating a bit of a sweeping path through the zone. Pull side to middle of the field line drive results. Improved bat angle early on within his setup will allow for a more consistent swing path into the zone. Table-setter approach with an improved exit velocity of 78 MPH (+5 MPH increase). Defensively- Easy approach; fields ball out in front of the body. Short take back of the arm with an over the top arm slot. Accurate arm with a peak velocity of 73 MPH. Would benefit from a more aggressive approach, receiving the ball off the glove side foot to allow for a more assertive crowhop. CF/LF mold.
Individual Player Evaluation (June 30, 2016)
Delaney is a slightly built 5-foot-6; 130 pound OF who ran a 7.30 60 and a 4.69 home-to-1B.   Offensively- Delaney, a LHH, sets up in an open stance with his weight stacked up over his back side. Flat barrel at the start of his load, drawing it up to a 30 degree angle at the end of his take back. Flat bat through the zone; produces line drive/grounball contact. Extension is 2-handed and out in front. Exit velocity peaked at 73 MPH. Repeats swing and understands his game.  Defensively- In the outfield Delaney is controlled with his approach; stays in motion into the ball; uses a short step through crow hop with a quicker release. A more aggressive drive through may allow for better carry; LF projection presently.  Arm slot is low ¾ with some whip. Arm strength was 71 MPH.
October 24, 2015
LHH that showed a short stroke and able to use middle to pull side with line drive contact. Gets to the ball quickly in the OF and showed accurate throws that will need to develop more carry. Slender build at 5-foot-5, 125 pounds.
Summer 2015
Sightly built centerfielder who tracks the ball well in the gaps. Throws from a low 3/4 angle and ball tends to fade arm side. Offensively James hits from a narrow and upright position. Swing can get long. Has learned to bunt for a hit and use his speed to his advantage.
Futures Showcase (February 28, 2015)
Delaney Stands an athletic 5-foot-4, 115-pounds.  Shows above average strength and arm strength for his size.  From the left side, he starts tall, even, with stance shoulder width apart.  Short but smooth front side load, tends to drag the bat through the zone, Pulls out slightly.  Needs to work on staying inside the ball.  Recorded a (73mph) exit velocity.  Finishes above his shoulder.  In the field charges the ball hard.  Receives the ball out in front, clean transfer to a short shuffle.  Mid 3/4 arm slot.  Gets on the side of the ball creating arm side run.  (71)mph. from the OF.  Good athlete, ran a (7.3) 60yd dash.
