NY Games (June 27-29, 2016)
Booker is a lean 5-foot-10; 170 pounds. He Catches and runs a 7.80 60.  Offensively- Hands at shoulder height in front off of body, athletic stance, small stride and bat stays at same upward angle until separation of hands. Hands are quick to the ball and level through zone. Upward lift to swing and good drive of back knee. Exit velocity: (up to 93 MPH in Nov. 2015). Defensively- Receives ball well behind plate, sets up with knees almost on ground when not throwing. Quick hand transfer and gets body turned well to make a strong throw to second. Quick arm action with high-¾ arm slot. Throws 70 MPH (up to 71 MPH from Nov. 2015) from behind the dish. Pop time: 2.09
Last Chance Preview (November 29, 2015)
Jonah is an athletic 5-foot-10, 165 pound catcher who ran a 4.83 Home to 1B and had a 79 MPH exit velocity. Offensively- Jonah starts in a spread but even position with his hands shoulder height. Demonstrates a controlled load and a heel lift for timing. Stays on back side during rotation. Stays moderately short to contact with a finish that cuts out of the zone a bit early. Repeats efforts and attacks the ball. Defensively- Behind the plate Jonah stays soft while receiving and was fundamental with his blocking. Quick with getting his feet in postion during throwdowns, front side shoots up the 3B line some which can cause throws tail back into the runner. Strong enough arm behind the plate at 71 MPH. 1.99-2.05 range with a chance to even be a bit better.
