Originally a walk-on commit to North Carolina from Bergen CC, Miceli opened more eyes in the MLB Draft League, raised his stock with 35 strikeouts in 34 IP and received a scholarship to UVA where he looks to become a big piece of the Cavalier staff in 2022. With a 58% ground ball rate in the Draft League Miceli's bread and butter is his low-90s sinker and he will combine his worm-killer with a mid-70s curve. He will need to sharpen his command in order to jump into the rotation, but as an athletic 5-foot-11, 180-pounder, Miceli should have no problem making the needed adjustments under the tutelage of top pitching coach Drew Dickinson.
