Gillison is a 5-foot-11 150 pound left-handed first baseman. Tall and lanky with room to fill out; ran a 7.88 60. Offensively- Starts with legs slightly further than shoulder width apart. Hands away from body, bat at a 45 degree angle. Minimal pre pitch movement. Brings front foot forward towards pitcher on load. Quick hands through the zone; 76 MPH exit velocity. Smooth swing with Line drive results; uses the whole field. Additional lower half effort; shorter swing path will bump his game another level.  Defensively- Moves well to the ball, fields off of the heels. Footwork will improve with age and physical maturity.
