6/30/21

Physical: Compact, durable 5-foot-8, 170lb frame with strength carried.

Offensively: RHH - Crouched, even stance outside shoulder-width as the knees face inward and hands operated in a waving rhythm. Utilized an up/down leg lift stride to initiate the bat head through a flat, short path into the hitting zone. Able to use tight turns and an accurate barrel to produce a 27% fly ball rate with some loft in the approach. Produced a near 280 foot batted ball distance (via Trackman) en route to mostly singles power to the pull-side during batting practice. Efficient swings, able to get his trigger off with minimal extra movements going on in the swing, T85 mph bat-exit.

Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured active footwork, chopping the feet and moving in either direction from a lower posture, bent in the knees. A soft glove hand could push or pull at the fielding window showing a smooth transfer to the throwing hand at a shorter, immediate H ¾ slot (shuffled, 77 mph arm, accurate).

7/22/20

Physical: Compact, athletic 5-foot-8, 170-pound frame with sneaky strength in the build. 7.71 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Crouched, wide stance with a balanced setup and the hands starting with rhythm directly above the shoulder. Utilized a toe-tap stride while entering the zone through a flat barrel path during batting practice. Showed advanced feel for his hands with a short stroke while staying inside the baseball with regularity. Was able to shoot offspeed pitches through the middle of the field and pepper the LCF gap when on time at the front of the plate. Recorded a top bat exit velocity of 85 mph per Trackman Baseball.

Defensively: The primary middle infielder shows the glove early in the approach, arriving with authority and aggression while using fluid footwork to get downhill through the fielding window. A soft glove hand went and got the ball with regularity and allowed for a sub 4.15 second pace during defensive evaluations. Made plays from multiple arm slots, but primarily a short, high ¾ slot with quickness in the arm stroke. Should be able to stick on the left side with a feel for transfers and quality arm strength. SS - 77 mph

Campus Series - Marist (July 17, 2018)

5-foot-6, 155-pounds. Offensively - slightly open set up to the pitcher. Wide, athletic stance with slight knee bend. Has some bat wiggle for rhythm/timing. Low leg lift to create forward stride. Hands work to ball quickly. Level swing and finish. Line drive approach with balanced hitting actions. Exit velocity was 69 MPH. Defensively - Quick, active footwork while fielding. Clean arm action. Keeps weight behind the ball on throws. High ¾ release. Handled exchanges easily. Arm strength was 68 MPH.
