A lean athletic frame at 5-foot-8, 140 pounds. Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall athletic stance. Simple load pre pitch. Fast twitch once he enters the hitting zone. Good use of the lower half. Defensively- the middle infielder displayed active footwork. An aggressive approach to the baseball. Fields the baseball slightly off center. Throws from a mid ¾ arm slot.
The 5-foot-8, 140-pound primary shortstop featured a lean frame with present feel for his body. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, square stance utilizing a quick knee-knock stride to initiate his swing. Stayed wide and low through extension while hitting into a stiff front side. Found consistent 78 mph barrels during batting practice with a flat bat-path to the baseball upon impact. The primary shortstop displayed easy movements through the ball with consistent range to both sides. Showcased a soft glove hand with ability to control his body on the slow roller play. Demonstrated solid footwork in the outfield with calculated movements yielding precise approach angles to the ball. Registered a 78 mph arm-strength from his position utilizing a long, high ¾ arm-stroke.
