2/17/21
Physical: Lean, developing 5-foot-6, 132-pound frame with some athleticism present. 7.76 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - The righty started from a balanced, slightly upright stance as the hands showed a loose, idle position on the shoulder. Utilized an obvious barrel-tip timed up to create maximum whip, assisting a leg lift stride in order to launch through a high-intent, flat path into the hitting zone. Mostly middle of the field approach, the the hips rotated with extreme quickness; recorded an impressive 55% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball while notching an 80 mph peak bat-exit velocity. Room for even more in the measurable categories as he continues maturing.
Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured advanced feel for the feet during defensive evaluations, was always on time with the left foot, fielding the ball off the middle-left side of the body with momentum towards the target; got to a quick, 3/4 “v-slot” allowing for accurate 72 mph throws across the diamond with solid pace. Will stick at second base for the moment, though the actions are legitimate.
