Game Performance

Notes

Comments

10/17/20

Physical: 5-foot-10, 210 pounds; full frame, strong lower half. 7.5 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Wide feet with slight bend in the waist, keeps his hands loaded above his ear; exaggerated lift and replace while he slowly transfers weight off his back leg onto his front side. Low effort in the lower half with a slow turn in the back hip, leaves back leg load slightly early with uphill swing path stemming from a drift downward with his hands, swings from a low slot.  Pulled the ball to the outfield with ease, found the barrel easily during his round; peak Trackman exit velocity of 81 MPH.
Defensively: Low to the ground with wide feet, sits on a firm base; gets to the ball easily, fields off wide base and moves his feet well into the throw. Firm hands that field smoothly and work into a clean transfer; long swinging arm action out of the glove and throws through a loose 3/4 slot.   INF - 70 MPH.

7/09/19

The 5-foot-8, 175-pound third baseman featured a stocky frame with some present strength. The right-handed hitter begins with an even, balanced stance with hands that start high at the ear. An aggressive forward leg-hang with hands that load backwards initiates a swing that entered the zone with a slightly uphill bat-path. Solid lower-half sink allowed for a strong backside to drive through the baseball, generating 85 mph bat-exit velocities during batting practice. Demonstrated a soft glove-hand with long actions during defensive evaluations. Displayed adequate range to the glove side with feet that arrived to the ball on time. Recorded accurate throws of 70 mph across the infield out of a high ¾ arm-slot with a short takeaway.
