Physical: 6’2 188lb OF ran a 7.20 laser timed 60-yard dash. Solid frame has long levers with some natural strength that plays into his game.
Offensively: From the LH side, he starts with a wide base and his hands high around his head. He loads into his legs using a small hinge of the hips and a leg lift. His hands stay quiet as he begins his timing mechanism and delivery of the barrel into the hitting zone. His barrel path travels rather flat through the zone before finishing high around his body.
Defensively: He approaches the ball using short choppy steps to control his momentum. He catches the ball off of his glove side foot and uses a multi step move to continue flowing through the throw. His arm works fast and downhill as he delivers the ball to his target.
Physical: 6-foot-2, 165-pounds. Long, projectable frame. 7.49 runner in the 60; 4.28 home-to-1B.
Offensively: LHH. Athletic stance with a wide base, hands start just above shoulders with a level bat, hands work back on load along with a small stride for timing Flat, direct barrel path that works slightly uphill on finish, body is in sync throughout the swing. Lots of hard contact up the middle. 74 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: INF: Starts low and uses choppy footwork, could charge the ball better, OF: Consistent footwork, keeps glove in front of body, attacks the ball aggressively. INF: Medium arm swing with a low 3/4 arm slot OF: Long, 3/4 arm slot. INF - 66 MPH. OF - 70 MPH.
