Physical: Advanced 6-foot-2, 200lb frame and looks the part athletically; functional strength.
Offensively: RHH - Slightly bent, tall stance that worked into the backside on the load with the barrel pointed up/down at the shoulder. Quick trigger that stayed under the hips and connected to the ground in the swing. Maintained a slightly uphill path through the ball towards a two-handed finish, promoting a line drive approach (47% LD rate). Drove pitches on the inner half up to a 98 mph bat-exit velocity (91 mph AVG) and 387 foot distance. Worked efficiently from short to long in the box.
Defensively: The SS was one of the top defenders in attendance. Glided around the diamond with plenty of momentum at release, dropping down below ¾ to a sidearm slot and whipping it across the diamond up to 95 mph. Led the event in arm-strength and showed accuracy in either direction. Made the play on the run flawlessly with quick hands.
