Stays short and stays inside the ball at contact; low finish. Drifts his hips in his swing at times, would like to see him stay strong in his legs throughout his swing. Defensively- Patrick is an athletic outfielder, and shows the ability to be a gap to gap defender; throws from a low 3/4 slot with a short arm swing. From his position, Patrick recorded a velocity of 78mph.
Anson stands 6-foot-1, 170-pounds lean build. Offensively- Loose hands on setup, slight open stance, compact hands, short path to the ball, slight uphill barrel path, short extension on finish. Exit velocity was 71 MPH. Defensively- Aggressive to the ball, arm-action is back and short from a high-3/4 slot, 74 mph arm-strength to the bag. Pitching- slow paced delivery from a high ¾ slot, short arm-action with hand going near ear. Stride is average with a slight opening of his front hip as he drives forward. Fastball sat 70-73 MPH, curveball 60-61 with loose shape. Continued development and strength will help Anson as he matures.
