Ran a 6.88 60 at the Downstate JUCO Sophomore Showcase. Athletic 6-foot-2 185 pound frame. Offensively- Left handed hitter with a slightly open setup; short take back with a stride to event. Sits deep in the legs, posted up over his back side. Aggressive swings staying behind the ball showing some drive from his pull-side gap to the RF line. Ball jumped off the wood.Exit velocity was 89 MPH.  Defensively- Showed an above average arm with 80 MPH arm strength and pop times that ranged from 1.92-2.03. Quick feet gaining positive ground on his pop step; an exchange that happens earlier will only help him stay under 2.00 consistently. Pitching- Prototypical pitcher's frame; sets up center rubber with deep drop step and pivot to glove side. Mid-chest balance point with a break of the hands across the belt. Rolls off front side with a 1B line finish. Sat 83-85 MPH mixing in a couple of late breaking curveballs in the 71-72 MPH range. Needs more more command and the ability to repeat his delivery. Raw tools are there to be a short man out of the pen at the 4 year level (stay in the stretch, 2-pitch approach).
