8-8-2018:�5’11, 185 pounds with a lean frame. Smith has a fast paced, athletic delivery that creates significant rotational power. Quick, loose arm action coming from a � arm slot. Ran his FB up to 93 and sat 89-92 coming out of the pen for Cotuit. Also features a CB with 2/7 shape at 78-80. Still refining overall control. Appeared to sink on his front leg at landing. Throwing against a soft front side would make it difficult to repeat the same release point and cause him to work around the baseball. If he can figure out that part of his delivery, Smith could see a big jump in production this spring. (D Jurik)
