WNY Travel Workout (January 16, 2017)
Cenname checks in at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds. Recorded a time of 4.6 seconds from home to first base. Offensively- Feet begin wider than shoulders with an open stance. Hands are aligned just below back shoulder. Uses a leg kick that lands closed while hands load backwards. Hips are rotational to start swing. Short barrel path and hands are inside ball. Strong extension through ball with flat swing plane. Ball jumps off bat and had an exit velocity of 85 MPH off the tee. Pitching- Begins with feet at shoulder width on far third base side of rubber. Very small side step as left foot turns to rubber. Knee lift comes to chest height at balance point. Stride leg swings toward plate and lands slightly open on 3B side. Arm gets slightly behind body on backside arm swing. Arm action comes through at a traditional ¾ slot. Fastball was in the 74-76 MPH range. Also spun a curveball at 55-57 MPH and threw a changeup at 61-63 MPH.
