Wessinger is a full bodied 6-foot-2; 247 pound corner infielder. He ran a 8.10 60. Offensively- At the plate setup is even; slight rock of the weight back coupled with a short, almost up-down stride. Hands load/wrap after stride. Weight can slightly leak forward at times but still aggressive through lower half and maintains a short swing path. Two handed finish; pull side approach with big time power potentia. Can get caught in between with his timing but the foundation is there. Impressive 89 MPH exit velocity from the left side. Defensively- Stays on balls of his feet; square setup perpendicular to the ball with hands out in front. Can get upright after fielding; using glove tap to take away some of his momentum. Arm was suitable for left side at 77 MPH. May project better at 1B at the next level.
