Compact athletic frame 5-foot-8, 150-pounds. Athletic stance at the plate. Starts on line and uses a small leg lift to stride landing on line. Hands are set high and load back to a slight bat wrap. Displayed some bat speed getting through the zone, swing path was level with a high two hand finish, and stayed on through extension. Used the middle well and showed some line drive tendency. Exit velocity was 82 mph. Was impressive defensively in the infield. Feet were active on approach, hands relaxed, glove presented well, and showed soft hands to catch. Short arm action and showed ability to throw from a variety of arm slots and make a variety of plays. Infield velocity was 81 mph. Outfield velocity was 78 mph. Ran a 7.65 60. Narrow setup on the mound when working from the windup. Small rocker step, higher leg lift, flexion in back leg, and engages back side while moving down the mound. Hips are uphill and shoulder closed moving towards the plate and landing slightly closed at foot strike. Arm speed getting through with a full arm circle throwing from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball had some life out of the hand sitting 80-83 mph. Had feel around the zone for a 11/5 breaking ball that stayed 65-67 mph. Soldi secondary pitch in a changeup that showed late arm side fade with intent and feel around the zone.
