9/19/20
Physical: Athletic 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame with feel for his body. 7.31 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Crouched, even stance with the hands starting above the shoulder as the barrel pointed at a 45 degree angle backwards. Stayed relatively tall in the posture utilizing a lift and replace stride to initiate the hands through a flat path and into the hitting zone. The top hand dominated the swing as the hips cleared early, showed off a pull-side approach during batting practice with a 60% ground ball percentage per Trackman Baseball / 7% hard hit rate. The levers played with advanced power at the front of the plate and when he matched the plane of the pitch early, saw the ball travel a long distance. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 90 mph during his round / 303 foot maximum batted ball distance. Defensively: The third baseman featured a medium-low setup with soft hands that played out in front of his body on the approach. Fielded the ball off of the left side getting adequate momentum towards the target. Average pace from the left side of the infield and reared back on throws across the diamond out of a high ¾ slot. INF - 73 mph Pitching: RHP - Quick pace to the delivery off of the left side of the rubber, side rocker step into a medium leg lift, sinks into the backside and drives directionally out towards the plate, landed even while getting over the front side on the release, high ¾ slot with a medium arm circle. The FB played from 75-80 mph with command in the zone.
7/08/20
6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed pitcher. The frame projects and the arm works clean and free. The fastball touched 82 mph, arm side action to the pitch. The spin pitch is a slurve in which he sat 71-74 mph. The changeup is a work in progress. The delivery has crossfire to the feet and the slot is slightly above 3/4. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to improve as he spins off target a bit too soon. Showed a small amount of sink on the back leg, needs to have a little less flexion in the back side as he goes into foot strike. Good pitching prospect
