6/18/19
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 170-pound thin and athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Wide stance with a simple load into his lower half. Keeps his hands loaded until contact.
Hit: Level bat path that produces above average bat speed. Ball jumps off his bat, and he creates natural ball flight to the middle of the field.
Power: Flashes of power, but more to come as he develops, and adds size.
Offensive Projection: TBD. Field: In the outfield he plays with short, choppy footwork in his approach. Gets through the ball well with a nice, one-handed play through. Throw: Over the top right-hander with developing strength and present accuracy. Defensive Projection: CF/LF.
2/6/19 Body Type: 6-foot-1, 170-pound projectable frame. Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup before using a small leg lift for timing. Barrel launches from a vertical setup. Hit: Physical kid with slight downhill tendencies. Shows obvious athleticism in the box with impressive natural tools. Ball jumps. Power: 87 mph exit velocity. Present gap abilities. More raw power than number shows once he adds loft to stroke. Offensive Projection: Middle of Lineup. Run: 7.0 60-yard dash. Field: Short, choppy footwork. Stays fluid too and through, Average ball skills. Throw: Long back arm action. Arm works. More strength to come. Defensive Projection: Corner.
2/7/18 A physical bat from the right side. Presets his upper half in a strong, stretched position. Uses a small leg lift for timing. Path is level with noticable strength through the zone. Bat speed is an above average tool as well. His simple loading sequence allows him to create consistent timing and use the entire field. A gap to gap guy with enough juice to hit in the middle of a lineup. Mechanically sound in the outfield. Attacks the ball off the bat and plays one handed through fielding. Arm is an average tool but plays as above average with his urgent transfer. An interesting 2021 to watch as he matures.
60-yard dash: 7.26
Outfield Velocity: 75
Exit Velocity: 84
2/9/17 5-foot-11, 148-pound prospect. At the plate he uses a very short stride while taking his hands to launch. Swing is short and compact on a downhill path. Bat has obvious quickness to it. Would like to see a flatter path to let his natural tools show in his swing more often. Has the tools to be a three-hole guy. In the outfield he uses quick, aggressive footwork. Plays with obvious confidence and gets rid of the ball quickly. Arm action is loose, showing above average arm strength to home plate.
