This was our first look at Dauterman and though he is far from a finished product he definitely has some upside off the bump. At 6-foot-5, 145-pounds the right-hander has endless projection left on his frame. Arm action is short/relatively clean while working through a high-¾ slot. Sat 80-82 mph with his fastball, but it is hard to believe there isn’t more in there as he adds strength with maturity. Aside from the fastball the right-hander has a playable changeup and above average breaking ball. With his frame and upside he should be a solid late option for college programs.
