Hit: Seems to be a guy with a consistent approach at the plate. Stayed balanced and in control of his body. Power: 86 mph exit velo shows above average raw power for his age. Offensive Projection: Overall, shows above average polish and athleticism at the plate compared to other guys in his class. How he develop physically will dictate if he’s more of a SS or 2B type in the infield.
6/13/17 A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller setup. Takes his hands to a strong launch position during his controlled stride forward. Bat has definite quickness to it while taking a level path to the baseball. Has some room to clean up mechanics but the natural tools are impressive. Ball jumped off his bat, especially to the middle of the field. In the infield shows accuracy in his throws which is aided by creating good angles when field the ball. Use a direct approach while aggressively attacking the ball. Arm action is loose thru a high ¾ slot and shows good arm strength that should continue to develop. On the mound he uses a side step while working across the rubber before going into a leg lift. Bring hands above the head while delivery requires some effort. Fastball comes out of high ¾ arm slot at 71-73 mph. Change up is advanced pitch for his age. Shows good arm side fade while maintaining arm speed at 66-67 mph. Breaking ball shows a 12/6 shape at 62-62 mph. Pitch will develop as he stays behind the baseball better.
