On the mound, the 5-foot-10, 160-pound southpaw uses a steady tempo to his delivery. He takes a small rocker step to the outside of his body followed by an inward leg kick. Tendency to land a bit closed in stride. Throws with average arm speed through high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 72-74 mph. Breaking ball showed gradual 1/7 break at 61-62 mph. Mixed in a changeup at 64-66 mph that tended to miss high on the arm side. A lefty hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a leg kick to get his lower half involved. Hands stay loose producing solid whip through the zone. Displayed well above bat speed with the ability to get extension through contact. In batting practice he showed impressive pop to both sides of the field. From the outfield, he fields the ball to the outside of his glove foot, creating momentum to his throw. Transfer is clean. Throws from a high ¾ slot with some length to his arm action. Top velocity of 75 mph on his throws.

5-foot-10, 160-pound average build. On the mound he shows good tempo in his delivery with some rhythm. Shows good direction to the plate, landing on line at foot strike. Short back arm action into a high ¾ slot with quick arm speed. Fastball sits 72-73 mph. Curveball sits 57-61 mph. Changeup sits 59-60 mph. A left-handed hitter with a swing full of athletic movements. Using a leg kick he is able to gather his weight before transfering it onto his front side. Brett has bat tip timing mechanism with his upper half which allows him to sync up his timing and create good whip through the zone. Made consistent hard contact in batting practice and had a top exit velocity of 76 mph. At first base he is very smooth and athletic around the bag. Fields the ball out in front of his body and has a quick transfer on his double play balls. With loose arm action he threw across the infield with 71 mph arm strength. Ran a 4.86 from home to first.
