Begins in a tall wide stance with a small load, then uses a short controlled stride. Had a level simple swing plane, developing bat speed and a back foot finish. Found lots of barrels through his round. Pull side up the middle approach. In the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 81 mph. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 8.08. Projectable on the mound, showed good arm speed, he had a short quick arm action with an over-the-top arm angle. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher who uses some effort. Displays downhill shoulders with a strong balance point. Lands square with a clean finish. (Max spin 2059; Avg 1969).

Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 65 mph; showed a natural exchange, consistent feet, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic.
