Brody Mellott: RHP/1B, (2026) Little Miami, OH. 6-foot, 172-pound. In the box, Mellott had a max exit velocity of 80 mph. (61.1 mph bat speed average). (17.9 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed was efficient, had an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 76 mph; has consistent feet, sure hands, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. While catching, his best recorded throw to second was clocked at 73 mph; shows a clean transfer, consistent feet, and firm hands. recorded a pop time of 2.09-2.12. Calm setup with some flexibility. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 8.74. On the mound, using a long arm action he showed some arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher and shows easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 74-76 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1898; Avg 1833). Threw a 11/5 curveball (66-66) with slurvey action.
