A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Swing is full of rhythmic, well-timed movements. Strength and bat speed are obvious in swing. An all fields hitter that maintains pop to both sides of the field. Has the look of a run producer a the next level. Behind the plate he showed fluid actions and mechanically sound footwork. Transfer skills are slightly above average.

Rountree has loud natural tools at the plate with a level swing. The combination of his path and his ability to get his barrel on plane early give him a large margin for error in timing. Ball comes off his bat very well showing signs of power potential. Behind the dish, he starts slightly open and plays from his toes. Quick, efficient footwork. Short arm action through high ¾ slot. Good arm strength and accuracy. Pop times between 2.02 to 2.08.
