Charlie Meckey: 2B/RHP, (2023) Loveland, OH. 5-foot-10, 152-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. (62.2 mph bat speed average). (20.6 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Had an upward swing plane, quick bat speed and high finish. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 79 mph; shows a fluid exchange, sure hands, and consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.42. (Max spin ; Avg ).
5-foot-9, 145-pound. Solid during batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 86 mph. Started in an open stance with a controlled smooth load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is efficient and shows an upward swing plane. Found multiple barrels in his rounds. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 74 mph; has consistent hands, athletic feet, and a natural exchange. Glovework is shown deep Solid on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with an compact arm action. Slow-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Tall balance point. a falling off finish. Curveball (65-66 mph), changeup (66-68 mph), slider (67-68 mph).Threw his fastball 77-78 mph.
