Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 2295-2323
7/24/18 A lefty bat that starts in an athletic stance. Uses an athletic, fluid load that creates energy when synced. Nice compact stroke with some barrel whip/authority. Impressive strength for class with signs of emerging pull side power. Squared the ball up frequently in BP. Doesn’t get cheated up there. Bat to follow. Solid showing in the outfield. Plays under control showing above average ball skills through fielding. Very accurate arm with more strength to come. Skill set plays at multiple spots. The athletic left hander on the mound uses a easy delivery with moderate effort. Directionally sound while incorporating the lower half efficiently. Arm works through a near high ¾ slot with a clean arm. Fastball shows heavy run to the arm side at 71-75 mph. Was able to run the ball down the barrel to right handed hitters getting weak contact to the backside. Curveball spun on a 1/7 plane with gradual break at 63-64 mph. Changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed and hard downward action at 68-69 mph. Good feel for this pitch that should continue to be playable moving forward.
