Christian Wright: OF/RHP, (2022) St.Edwards, OH. 5-foot-9, 150-pound athletic build. In the box, Wright clocked an exit velocity of 91 mph. (70.09 mph bat speed average). (25.00 mph hand speed average). Starts in a closed stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride. Has a flat swing plane, explosive bat speed and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels through his round. Pull side approach. Athletic in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 85 mph; has aggressive feet, soft hands, and a quick exchange. Athletic from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 84 mph; showed a twitchy exchange, aggressive quick feet, and sure hands. Used a high ¾ slot and a very quick arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.91. On the mound, curveball (66-71 mph), changeup (60-61 mph), knuckle (58-63 mph). Threw his fastball 79-83 mph. (Max spin 2170; Avg 2076).

Begins in an athletic balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a toe tap. Bat speed was quick, showed an upward swing plane and high finish. Solid in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 78 mph; shows a natural exchange, consistent feet, and sure hands. Solid In the outfield, has a natural exchange, consistent feet, and sure hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.88 60-yard dash. Solid on the mound, throws from a high ¾ arm angle and has quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Curveball (66-70 mph), changeup (65-69 mph), knuckle (58-58 mph).Sat with his fastball at 79-82 mph.
Hit: Smooth back load hands during controlled stride. Level path with rotational sequence. Athletic prospect with fast hands and strength through contact. Ball jumped when squared.
Power: Flashed gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 81mph.
Max BP Distance: 281ft.
Field: Good athlete with fast feet out there. Ball skills appear to be on par for class. In the infield he showed similar athleticism with an uptempo pace. Looks like an outfield first guy but serviceable in the infield.
Throw: Loose arm that will continue to add velo with maturity.
Defensive Projection: Multiple spots.
Scouting Notes: Very interesting mound prospect. Live arm with higher spin rates on his entire arsenal. Up to 82mph with signs of more to come. Also spins a sharp breaker with big action to it.
Fastball: 79-82mph.
