A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Loading sequence is fluid and creates a ton of energy. Swings with intent and the ball jumps off his bat. Bat speed and strength are both advanced. Consistently drove the ball deep in batting practice, taking one out to his pull side. Projects as a middle of the order guy at the next level. Hit a no doubt home run in game play. A third baseman that looks the part. Solid frame for the position with feel around the bag. Footwork is fluid and glove works. Moves very well laterally for frame. At first base he showed above average tools across the board. Looked comfortable around the bag and has well above average glove skills.

2/20/17 Another guy who has impressive natural tools is 1B Christopher Reilly out of Beachwood HS. The 2018 grad has an aggressive approach at the plate and swings the bat with intent. The ball jumps off his bat, showing power potential to his pull side. Had the top exit velocity of the day at 93 mph. Likely projects as a corner infielder at the next level. Worked out at third base and has the frame and glove skills to play first base. Takes direct routes to the baseball and showed quickness to his transfer. Would be aided by creating angles in his pre fielding footwork to play through the baseball more efficiently. In the outfield he has fluidity to his actions and gets to the ball in a timely fashion. Uses a big shoulder tilt for momentum during his crow hop. Throws were mostly on target with carry.
2/15/17 A very aggressive swinger from the right side. Uses a leg kick to get things started while taking his hands to launch. Bat speed is above average with advanced strength through contact. Path is uphill. Worked mostly to his pull side in batting practice, showing the ability to drive the ball with authority. In the outfield he showed cautious footwork approaching the baseball. Fields the ball with two hands to ensure ball security. Uses and exaggerated crow hop for momentum, tilting his shoulders for leverage. Would like to see him get rid of the ball quicker and show more accuracy on his throws. In the infield he showed athleticism to his actions with confidence in his glove. Moves well laterally maintaining his glove skills on the move. Much more projectable as an infielder at this stage.
